The title says it all...
I think there is a time in every one's journey who has had a set back or had to start over that they wonder: "Why am I starting over again?". I'm at that point in my journey, I've done well in a new place over the Summer and maintained the weight I've lost this Winter but it's hard. I know it's not going to get easier but I get motivated by knowing that I've made a change and I can continue and conquer anything that I set my mind to.
Another part that is hard for me is that I enjoy treats, snacks, candy, sodas, and other foods that just taste good. If I could forget just how great those things taste or remember how bad I feel after I sneak them then I would do great. If I were to write down my bites, nibbles, and tastes each day then I would be probably be amazed! I've talked to other friends about this and they suggest keeping myself full by eating more smaller meals throughout the day and I think that will be key when I officially start in January.
My key this month to get through the holidays is to watch what I'm eating and make a conscious effort not to overindulge even though it's so easy to right now. I've kept the 20lbs off that I lost this Summer and I'm working on maintaining that number until I can make my way to January. Another problem of mine (and everyone who eats with me knows this) is that I barely eat anything, for example if I was to go to a restaurant and order a kids cheeseburger and fry I would only be able to eat half of each and feel Full. I'm hoping the 6 small meals will help so that I won't feel hungry and also help that I don't eat very much.
So January 1st it is, I've got plans to work hard and kick my own fat butt, I'd enjoy any inspiration or motivation Spark People has for me so feel free to add me or share me; I'll leave my Spark People link and information below. :)
My Plan:
Walk/Be Active 3 Days a Week
Increase Water
Eliminate Sodas
Cut Back on Sugars
6 Small Meals a Day

Searching High & low...
This post is about dieting, I've been searching inside & out for a simple answer with quick results & there really hasn't been one. Everytime I find something new there are tons of people who say that it worked for them & even worked miracles that couldn't be done through anything they've tried previously. My main problem is that I get bogged down by boredom & I can't seem to follow through. The answer has been staring me in the face & I've done it before but I just wasn't willing to spend the time.
In 2003 I completed an 11 week cycle of weight watchers through which I lost 20 pounds, it wasn't difficult to complete, it was a bit tough to get started but I feel it actually taught me "how" to eat. I realized that I'd much rather spend my points on a few cups of grapes throughout the day than having a few bites of something unhealthy. I knew that once my points were done for the day that I had a bit of wiggle room but I rarely used them because I wanted to see results. I remember starting off with a 4 pound weight loss just in my diet change & almost always pound loss each week just through improved food choices & movement. My weight at completion was 128.6, which made me completely happy & although I don't believe I can get there again I would like to be in the ballpark of that number.
My current weight is 164 pounds & my ultimate goal weight is 135, I think it's a nice round number & lends itself to the fact that I've had a child & also gives me a good are of comfort to stay within. Everyone is always searching for the magic workout, pill, or diet that will just melt the fat but I now am pretty sure it doesn't exist. I hope to get to my goal through substitutions & exercise, I would love to get moving 3 times a week with a cardio dvd & writing/typing my food choices so that they're staring me right in the face day after day. With that said; I'm hoping to make my change this week or next, I'm not wanting to make a big deal of it as I have before in the past. I know it can be a slow process but this time I actually want to try & complete this. Even if it take months maybe it will stick this time & I won't have to do this ever again. :)

Week 1 Day 1
I've been trying to post all day long...geez there are so many obstacles whenever I try doing things. If I had nothing to do & was bored I would have all the time in the world.
Today marked the start of my 1st step in my Lifestyle Change! In Part 1 I have plans of counting calories & watching my Sugar habits/Carb intake, which is always through the roof. I want to be a healthier person so I am willing to make the changes. Today I have been so conscious & not blindly eating, meaning that when I found myself staring the fridge or the pantry I stopped & thought if I was hungry & if there was a snack worthy of eating. I tend to like to eat for the satisfaction even if it's just a few seconds.
Another thing that has helped is this horrible toothache that I happen to be suffering from, it hurts when food is hot or cold so I have to eat everything at like room temp.
It's just past lunch time & I have right around 500 calories left for the day. Around 3:00 my body & mind get bored & I go foraging for an afternoon snack, that was going to be watermelon but it's ice cold & not sounding to great for my tooth.
Above is the picture of my scale this morning, I'm so unhappy with that # & myself but I am actually doing something about it. One note that has helped me through the morning is: "Nothing tastes as good as Skinny feels". Below I will post my goals & when I plan to achieve them. Thanks for reading...

Monday Monday
Oh what a fabulous song "Monday Monday" is, but I am guilty of not knowing any of the other lyrics & it's definitely not Monday; it's Tuesday! I think Tuesday deserves some credit & a big woop woop & holler since it's just not Monday! ( not too much credit since it's far from Friday though)
Lately I have not made the best choices for my waste line & thighs but a friend of mine & I came up with a pretty simple plan to start this upcoming Monday. She will help me & I will help her, we will be the best little weight loss buddies that we can be! I find that the hardest part to weight loss is having no one hold me accountable, I followed the Weight Watchers program beautifully because I knew each week I would have to either be ashamed or feel proud for the choices I'd made the week before. I think it'll be even better since it's a friend that I'm close with & I wouldn't want to let her down. A little friendly competition should be great & what a wonderful benefit we will both receive from it.
Tune in on Monday July 18th for a scale picture, plan info, & maybe even a before picture(don't hold your breath...)
