Tired of Giving Up and Starting Over

The title says it all...
I think there is a time in every one's journey who has had a set back or had to start over that they wonder: "Why am I starting over again?".  I'm at that point in my journey, I've done well in a new place over the Summer and maintained the weight I've lost this Winter but it's hard.  I know it's not going to get easier but I get motivated by knowing that I've made a change and I can continue and conquer anything that I set my mind to.

Another part that is hard for me is that I enjoy treats, snacks, candy, sodas, and other foods that just taste good.  If I could forget just how great those things taste or remember how bad I feel after I sneak them then I would do great.  If I were to write down my bites, nibbles, and tastes each day then I would be probably be amazed! I've talked to other friends about this and they suggest keeping myself full by eating more smaller meals throughout the day and I think that will be key when I officially start in January.

My key this month to get through the holidays is to watch what I'm eating and make a conscious effort not to overindulge even though it's so easy to right now.  I've kept the 20lbs off that I lost this Summer and I'm working on maintaining that number until I can make my way to January.  Another problem of mine (and everyone who eats with me knows this) is that I barely eat anything, for example if I was to go to a restaurant and order a kids cheeseburger and fry I would only be able to eat half of each and feel Full.  I'm hoping the 6 small meals will help so that I won't feel hungry and also help that I don't eat very much.

So January 1st it is, I've got plans to work hard and kick my own fat butt, I'd enjoy any inspiration or motivation Spark People has for me so feel free to add me or share me; I'll leave my Spark People link and information below. :)

My Plan:
Walk/Be Active 3 Days a Week
Increase Water
Eliminate Sodas
Cut Back on Sugars
6 Small Meals a Day

Monday Monday

Oh what a fabulous song "Monday Monday" is, but I am guilty of not knowing any of the other lyrics & it's definitely not Monday; it's Tuesday! I think Tuesday deserves some credit & a big woop woop & holler since it's just not Monday! ( not too much credit since it's far from Friday though)

Lately I have not made the best choices for my waste line & thighs but a friend of mine & I came up with a pretty simple plan to start this upcoming Monday. She will help me & I will help her, we will be the best little weight loss buddies that we can be! I find that the hardest part to weight loss is having no one hold me accountable, I followed the Weight Watchers program beautifully because I knew each week I would have to either be ashamed or feel proud for the choices I'd made the week before. I think it'll be even better since it's a friend that I'm close with & I wouldn't want to let her down.  A little friendly competition should be great & what a wonderful benefit we will both receive from it.

Tune in on Monday July 18th for a scale picture, plan info, & maybe even a before picture(don't hold your breath...)
